Troublemaker Inks

Q: What should I expect from the different flow options you provide?
A: It's hard to exactly convey their wetness, so the levels roughly correspond the following contemporary inks you might be familiar with:

  1. Dry—Pelikan 4001
  2. Moderate—J. Herbin standard inks
  3. Wet—Pilot Iroshizuku
  4. Extra-wet—wetter than Sailor Jentle

Q: Are shimmer inks safe for my fountain pen?
A: Although we give utmost attention to our ink's safety, we still highly recommend that you agitate the ink to avoid clogging through the following means:

  • Using the pen regularly
  • Agitating the ink in the feed using the converter from time to time

If you're not going to use the ink in the foreseeable future, we recommend that you empty the pen and clean it thoroughly.

Q: Are there going to be more colors in the future?
A: We spend a lot of our time researching exciting new colors and ink formulations. For now, they are confidential information. 😉

Ordering and Shipping

Q: Which payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept payments through PayPal. We're in the process of installing other payment methods so we can accommodate everyone.

Q: When is my order going to be processed?
A: We mix batches weekly and ship them in 1-2 days upon doing so. We'll send you an email if your order takes longer than expected.

Q: How much does shipping cost?
A: Free! However, if you live in Central America, South America, or Africa; your shipping cost is calculated on a weight basis (approximately 5 USD for every 3 bottles). Domestic free shipping are only available on orders above 20 USD.

Q: How long does it take before my package arrives?
A: For domestic shipping, about a week. For international shipping, two to three weeks. However, it might take longer for your ink to get to you due to customs processes. Your package comes with tracking information.

Q: Do I have to pay customs fees?
A: Unfortunately, any fees or taxes that might be applied on your package should be paid for by you.

Q: Help! My items were damaged during transit.
A: Don't panic! Send us photos of the said item to info@troublemakerinks.com within 24 hours upon receipt of your package and we will gladly refund it. Kindly include your name and order number as well.
